Key Features:
Not only easy to handle, polycarbonate sheet is remarkably impact and weather resistant – perfect for both indoor and outdoor installation. This product also offers good UV protection and will aid in protection of pictures, plants and other items susceptible to harmful UV rays.
Where other clear acrylic sheets are stronger than glass, Polycarbonate is almost unbreakable. This superb strength, combined with the fact that it is just half the weight of glass, makes Polycarbonate sheeting easy to install and perfect for applications where safety is of the upmost importance. Additionally, it has a maximum light transmission to up to 90% and is as optically clear as glass, offering the benefits of greatly improved strength with no loss of aesthetic.
Polycarbonate also has a great fire performance of up to Class 1, which is significantly better than acrylic, making it a great alternative to acrylic especially in schools, colleges and airports where safety is vital. Unlike acrylic, Polycarbonate has the added advantage that it can be cold curved without risk of it cracking or breaking. Further improving its versatility, it can be thermoformed but the sheet must be oven dried beforehand as it absorbs atmospheric moisture which will then cause bubbles when heated.
Polycarbonate can be bonded using suitable solvent based adhesives.
We offer polycarbonate sheet cut to size in a range of thicknesses from 2mm to 10mm.
Uses for Polycarbonate sheeting include:
Just a quick thank you. My sheet arrived in perfect condition, well packed ... considering this had been my third attempt to buy such a large sheet, the previous company I tried sent 2 damaged sheets that were poorly protected. I wish I had found your company sooner! Will definitely consider use you again and recommend your company.
