We gave an old summerhouse a face-lift this summer, buying precut perspex from cut plastic sheeting made the job easier & really gave it the wow factor once fitted

Kayak cockpit cover
My new Epic V6 surf ski kayak was designed predominantly for sea paddling but my use was for river touring, I therefore required a dry cockpit. When paddling my new kayak water off the paddle was thrown directly into the cockpit. To rectify this I made a simple 1mm polystyrene sheet hatch attached with Velcro to cover the front section of the cockpit. This solved the problem and gave my V6 a dry cockpit.
Back Scene Support
This material is fantastic for using as a back support for photo printed material.
In this case a model railway.
This is a tunnel on my model railway. The perspex sheet provides a window into the tunnel and access in case of mishap! Thanks for precise cutting and perfect position of screw holes.
Covers for electronic development boards.
Splash panels for a shower fitted above a bath.
Wedding table signs
Simple to make, can be used again and again for different occasions!
Used for the fronts of red squirrel feeders by securing with two drilled holes.
PVC-U faced infill panel with cat flap fitted
I needed to fit a cat flap to the rear of our property. The only place available was in a narrow glass panel. Rather than getting the cat flap fitted to a new double glazed glass unit I made my own infill panel out of two ply off-cuts faced with 1mm PVC-U sheet and cut the hole for the cat flap with a jigsaw. The cats we are looking after are going home at some point so I will reinstate the original glass when they do. Saved me a lot of money doing it this way.
