Acrylic mirror sheets are suitable for a wide range of applications due to their excellent impact resistance and light weight.

Key Features:

  • Impact and shatter resistant
  • Excellent reflective properties
  • Lightweight sheets that are easy to work with
  • Good alternative to glass mirrors
  • Less than half the weight of glass mirror
  • Approximately 17 x higher impact strength than glass
  • Easy to clean
  • UV stable - will not discolour
  • Strong and durable
  • Supplied with protective film on one side

Because of its impact and shatter resistance acrylic mirrors are very popular for use in environments where safety is paramount such as nurseries and horse stables.

Acrylic Mirror has excellent reflective properties; however acrylic is not as rigid as glass and is therefore prone to minor distortions on larger panels which will optically distort the image.  We recommend that the mirror is bonded to a flat rigid back panel such as Plywood or MDF to minimise this effect.

Acrylic mirror will tend to absorb moisture if exposed to high humidity or damp environments, this will cause a temporary warpage of the material which still distort the reflection. For damp or outdoor applications, we recommend Aluminium Composite Mirror Panel as they will not absorb moisture.

For large sheet sizes we would recommend polycarbonate mirror as it is much more rigid in larger sizes which reduces optical distortions. In addition, the reflective quality is better than that of standard acrylic.

Please Note: Acrylic mirrors are not suitable for outdoor use. If you're looking for a mirrored material suitable for outdoor use, please consider visiting the product pages for our mirrored Dibond sheets.

The mirror arrived damaged but was exchanged with no fuss at all. Customer service is friendly and extremely efficient . Certainly will use the company again

Very easy to deal with product and company Reviewed by

Much better than solid mirror and does the same job. The reason why it was not a five star was because there was a slight flaw which you can only see when up close

Mirror, mirror on the wall! Reviewed by

Needed a mirror for a narrow space and saw the perfect solution on cut plastic sheeting. Fits perfectly, looks good and didn't have to search around for odd shaped mirror. Perfect!

A 5 star product Reviewed by

This mirror glass plastic sheet is brilliant, you can't tell the finish from real glass, it arrived promptly, really well protected and cut to my exact requirements. I used it to put behind my pine display dresser and it's really come to life. A real pleasure to deal with this company

Q: How should an acrylic mirror be mounted?

A: For sheet sizes of over 1000mm in any direction acrylic mirror needs to be applied to a hard wood backing to prevent distortion due to the flexibility of 3mm material. Alternatively we can recommend aluminium composite(dibond) mirror which has excellent rigidity at larger sizes but slightly reduced reflective qualities.

Q: Is the reflective quality of mirrored acrylic as good as glass?

A: Acrylic mirror looks exactly the same as glass mirror, offering the same reflective qualities.
