Dibond Aluminium Composite panels, also known by the trade names of Alucobond, Hylite, Reynobond and Alupanel are a popular type of material used for both internal and external environments in both residential and commercial applications. The aluminium composite material features two thin sheets of aluminium enclosing a solid polyethylene core and has a total thickness of 3mm.

Can I paint on Dibond?

Dibond is an extremely popular material with artists and is an especially good canvas for oil painting. With the material being extremely flat and smooth it provides an excellent surface for painting projects.

Can I use ACM splashback behind a gas/electric hob?

Yes, it can be used behind a gas or electric hob but we would advise a minimum distance of 150 mm from the heat source.

Can Dibond be recycled?

The ACM sheet consists of a polyethene core enclosed by two aluminium sheets which both can be recycled in the UK.

I want a fire retardant Dibond panel, what one is the best to use?

Our White Dibond FR Fire Retardant Aluminium Composite Panel has been specially developed with a mineral core to give high fire protection performance. It has been given a European fire classification rating of Class B s1, d0 according to the EN 135501-1 standard. Importantly, this fire rating has been reached without using toxic halogenated fire retardant.
