Acrylic Fabrication

Welcome to Cut Plastic Sheeting’s acrylic fabrication services page. We are experts in the design and fabrication of acrylic sheets, and we only use the latest state-of-the-art equipment. While we specialise in acrylic, we want to introduce you to our sister company Luminati, which is set up for manufacturing using different sheet materials and takes on a multitude of projects, from acrylic frames, bespoke cabinets, retail displays to lecterns.

Our highly skilled plastic fabricators are experienced enough to complete every project, however complicated, to the highest level of quality. We carry out fabrication using a variety of techniques, including laser cutters, CNC machining, heat bending, heat forming, diamond polishing, flame polishing, solvent bonding and more. This means we can fabricate anything you like, from simple panels to incredibly complex pieces of artwork, all using the top-quality raw materials we insist upon.

Our Services

Acrylic Fabrication in Devon

Other acrylic fabrication services include profile shaping, thermoforming, oven forming, drape forming, CNC profile routing, and laser cutting. Our services are perfect for creating point of sale material and furniture, and capable of producing some surprisingly complex forms.

At Cut Plastic Sheeting, we are committed to providing top-quality acrylic fabrication services. If you’re interested in other services or retail design, we encourage you to check out our sister company Luminati. They are set-up for manufacturing using a wide variety of sheet materials and offer the same high level of quality and expertise that you’ve come to expect from us.

Laser cutting is a manufacturing process that uses a high-powered laser beam to cut, engrave or etch a variety of materials with precision and accuracy.

CNC routing uses computer-controlled machines to cut, shape and carve a wide range of materials with precision and accuracy.

CNC machining is a manufacturing process that uses computer-controlled machines to produce precise and complex parts from a variety of materials.

CNC Engraving allows you to create accurately detailed fine shallow lines in to your sheet material.

CNC Milling is a process in which a cutting tool moves along multiple axes to remove material from a workpiece to create a desired shape.

CNC Turning is a process in which a workpiece is rotated on a spindle while a cutting tool removes material to create a round or cylindrical shape.

Acrylic Line Bending

Acrylic line bending is a popular fabrication technique that involves heating a sheet of acrylic along a straight line until it becomes pliable. The sheet is then bent to the desired angle using a simple jig or tool. This method is used to create various products such as display cases, brochure holders, and point of sale (POS) displays. Line bending is a great way to produce one or more tight radius bends in sheet plastic, and the radius of the sharp bend can be controlled by adjusting the width of the heated area.

The main benefits of line bending are that straight bends are easy to make, the machine set up costs are low, and there’s no tooling required.

Thermoforming

We also offer large oven thermoforming, which is ideal for making large, impressive pieces that would be impossible to achieve any other way.

Our forced circulating-air oven heats consistently and evenly thanks to thermostatic control. We use a special clamping frame for support, which means you get excellent quality finished products.
