Highly resistant to chemicals such as gasoline and acid, our Polycarbonate Mirror Sheet copes well with changes in temperature and will expand and contract comfortably without sustaining any permanent damage.
Much like acrylic, polycarbonate can be cut using conventional tools though it is slightly harder to do so. However this property does make it easier to drill, and a normal drill bit can be used close to an edge with a far lesser chance of cracking.
Polycarbonate mirror is a versatile material and it can be used in a wide range of situations and environments such as cafes, bars, prisons, dance studios, restaurants, gyms, stables and other places where safety is paramount.
Polycarbonate is easier to clean than Acrylic because of its increased resistance to chemicals. Although like acrylic, polycarbonate can scratch so be careful.
Outdoor use: Polycarbonate mirrors are not suitable for outdoor use. If you’re looking for a mirrored material suitable for outdoor use, please consider our premium aluminium composite mirror as it offers a much better quality of reflection and can withstand external weather conditions.
Reflection distortions: Please note that this material is not a substitute for traditional glass mirrors if you require a perfect reflection, it is prone to distortions which may make it unsuitable for your requirements. We also stock a high-performance aluminium composite mirror which offers many of the same benefits as this material, e.g. lightweight, shatterproof, easy to work with, but also has much better reflective qualities.
