Description
Anti-Reflective Acrylic, also known as PlexiGlas XT, is a gallery standard acrylic material that has the fantastic optics and light admittance of acrylic with the added benefit of an anti-glare surface which also absorbs destructive UV light.
Key Features:
- Protects images from yellowing or fading caused by exposure to UV light
- Approximately half the weight of traditional glass
- The anti-glare surface coating reduces unwanted reflections and glare
- Eleven times more resistant to impact than a standard picture or float glass
- Easy to work with then making custom shapes and sizes
- Supplied with protective film on both sides
Non-reflective gallery acrylic discs are perfect for use in exhibition and display spaces where strong lighting can often cause a glare on glass or standard acrylic which may distract from the item or image being viewed. Anti-reflective acrylic discs are perfectly round sheets of non-glare plastic which are perfect for display applications including galleries, retail displays and shop windows.
Setting a new standard for artwork protection, anti-glare acrylic discs reflect up to 99.7% of UV light, offering far more protection compared with conventional picture glass (float glass). With a surface finish that restricts the reflective effect often found with gloss acrylics, anti-glare is ideal for glazing applications.
When used to frame or display an image, the acrylic must be touching or be in extremely close contact with the image. If this is not the case, the image will appear distorted or frosted – even if the gap is only a few millimetres.
Anti-reflective acrylic discs are the ideal choice for use in galleries, exhibitions, retail spaces and the home.
Available in 2mm and 3mm thick circular sheets.
Please Note: This material is not suitable for use in front of a TV screen. This sheet of material is only clear when something is pressed directly to the back of it. If there is space in between, it can cause a frosted effect.
